Hi, it's Kim! Perhaps you've read one of my pithy blogs and want to know what makes the person behind the blog tick. Well, here it is... The first thing you need to know is I specialize in French history. This in turn makes me very susceptible to their films and directors. I like Truffaut, Demy, Chabrol, Renoir, Resnais, Malle, and sometimes Godard. My favorite actress is Catherine Deneuve and my all-time favorite film is The Umbrellas of Cherbourg--I know all of the words to the songs. My other favorite Deneuve films are: Belle de Jour, The Young Girls of Rochefort, and The Last Metro.

[rochefort.jpg]Please don't be alarmed that I am a Francophile, I also enjoy English speaking films, too. I'm a big fan of Bette Davis, [belle_de_jour_1967.jpg]Barbara Stanwyck, and Greta Garbo. My favorite classic films are The Lady Eve, Camille, Now, Voyager, and The Wizard of Oz. I also enjoy most slapstick comedies. My most modern favorite film is Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley--I love Jane Austen's books.

My interests are films, books, and playing games. I live in Cincinnati and I root for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the New York Yankees. My profile picture is of my two Malti-Poos Buffy and Carmie--Yes, they are precious and adorable. I get my blog ideas from the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die book. I am slowly but surely working my way through it. That's about all there is to me.
